At the doctor, in a meeting, at the restaurant

1. 01Choose your two languages, onceYours, and the language of the place you are in.The app's language screen. Under “Your language”, English, the phone's own; under “Where you are · their language”, Greek, because you are in Greece. Both are ticked, and Continue is pressed.
2. 02Press Start and put the phone downOn the table between you, screen towards you. Then it listens: nobody holds it or passes it round.The app at rest: “Place the phone between you”, three short steps and the green Start button. Start is pressed, and the screen turns to the live conversation: the badge reads LIVE, Greek to English, and the indicator at the bottom says “Listening…”.
3. 03Several people, each in their own colourWhoever speaks gets a line of their own, numbered and translated as they talk, with their own words in small type underneath.A taverna in Greece, two people speaking. 4. 04Answer in your languageSay “A carafe of white wine, please”, then press the green button: the phone says it in Greek.The waiter asks “What would you like to drink?”. You say “A carafe of white wine, please” and press the green button. Your line appears in Greek, marked “You · in Greek”, the badge turns to Paused, and a card reads “Speaking in Greek… The microphone is muted — wait for me to finish.”
5. 05Turn the screen towards themOne touch on “Flip the screen” turns the conversation round, so the person across the table reads what you said in their language.You have asked, in Greek, “Can we also have a menu in English?”. “Flip the screen” is pressed and the whole conversation turns upside down, so the waiter across the table reads your question the right way up, in Greek.
6. 06Photograph the menuEvery dish shows up in your language, with the menu's prices. Tap the Greek salad and the phone asks for it in Greek.The camera button is pressed and the Greek menu is photographed. The translated menu lists five dishes in English, each with its Greek name and its price: moussaka 14,50 €, Greek salad 9,00 €, pork souvlaki 12,00 €, fried anchovies with “ask the price”, baklava 6,50 €. Greek salad is tapped, and the phone says the dish's Greek name, followed by “please” in Greek.
